Pad printing
Pad printing of small promotional items is sometimes also called pad printing or pad printing.
It was founded in Switzerland in the 19th century in connection with the production of watches. It was first used for printing dials.
Today, this technique is most often used for printing promotional items - ballpoint pens, lighters, key fobs, USB - both plastic and metal or glass.
The principle is the use of a flexible tampon (stamp) and an etched original (cliché). The paint is applied to the clichés and wiped off so that it adheres only to the etched areas of the desired motif. The next step is to transfer the color with a swab to the printed object.
This printing technique allows you to print objects that are not completely straight - the flexible pad adapts well to the surface of the object.
